WCMF25 Nightly Tickets Now Available: Bouyon, Cadence-Lypso & 25 Years of Creole Pride
The Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC) has officially announced that nightly tickets are now available for the 25th edition of the World Creole Music Festival (WCMF25), taking place from October 24–26, 2025 at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
As the festival marks its silver anniversary, two homegrown genres stand at the center of the celebration: bouyon and cadence-lypso. Both born in Dominica, they represent the heartbeat of Creole identity and the legacy of Dominican creativity on the world stage.
Night 1 — Friday, October 24
🎟️ $200 XCD | $77 USD (online only)
Opening night strikes the perfect balance of international flavor and local pride. Triple Kay ensures bouyon ignites the crowd, while Midnight Groovers carry the torch of cadence-lypso, reminding fans why they are called "Kings of Cadence."
Other acts include: Masicka, Burning Flames, Guiles, Halbut, Oswald, Nulook, Steel Pulse, and Romain Virgo.
Night 2 — Saturday, October 25
🎟️ $300 XCD | $115 USD (online only)
The biggest lineup of the weekend is a showcase of legends and new voices. Bouyon fans will rally behind Asa Bantan, WCK, Ridge, Pudaz, Kenny G, Faithi, Shanika, Littleboy, Quan, Jixels, and Ezra D' Fun Machine.
Cadence-lypso takes center stage with Gordon Henderson — the genre's architect — alongside the iconic Ophelia, "Lady of Song." Their presence connects WCMF25 back to the very roots of Dominican music.
They share the stage with: Vybz Kartel, Spice, Joé Dwèt Filé, Kes, Linford John, First Serenade, Rohie, Ebony Empress, DJ MJ, and more.

Night 3 — Sunday, October 26
🎟️ $200 XCD | $77 USD (online only)
The finale shines with international stars but keeps Dominican genres front and center. Signal Band brings modern bouyon fire, while Michele Henderson and Elisha Benoit ensure cadence-lypso's melodic legacy closes the festival with elegance and strength.
Also performing: Kehlani, Bunji Garlin, Fay-Ann Lyons, Tiwa Savage, Kassav, Extasy Band, Trilla G, Nice, and Reo.
Bouyon & Cadence-Lypso: Two Pillars of WCMF
From the very first edition in 1997, WCMF has been the global stage for Dominica's two signature genres. Cadence-lypso, pioneered by Gordon Henderson and made legendary by bands like Midnight Groovers and artists like Ophelia, laid the foundation for Creole music worldwide. Bouyon, introduced by WCK in the late 1980s and carried forward by new-generation acts like Triple Kay, Asa Bantan, and Signal Band, remains the high-energy force that keeps the festival pulsating.
At 25 years strong, the World Creole Music Festival is more than a concert — it is a celebration of the sound Dominica gave to the world.
